PCR
Hi Guys just a fairly quick post today. I'm on my cardio prac and i'm wondering what we include in our problem list for our Cardio PCR. As Caroline said there are a lot of other problems outside of the 10 problems. Some people consider these as considerations some as problems. So my question is: when it comes to the PCR do we incorporate these other problems into the problem list or do we put them into the considerations to treatment sectio. Everyone i've asked has just said as long as you can justify your choice, you will be fine. I was wondering if anyone has any idea which is the best way to go with the problem list or if you've heard anything extra to what i've said. Thanks, Anna

hey Anna,
I think the safest way to go with this is to have your problems for the patient as in the ten we were given, and have others as considerations - that's the way i've been working. This is what my CCT told me on my cardio placement - just make sure you include all considerations and not leave anything out. I think it will be fairly straight forward regardless. And , as you said yourself, if you can clinically reason your answers then you shouldn't have a problem!!!
Happy studying

Hi Anna,
The other day we had a similar conversation with Lou. She said that if the issue is actually the limiting factor then it can be put into the problem list. I agree with Fan though, play it safe and just include the ten problems in the problem list and if you do anything other than that be prepared to give good clinical reasoning for it.
Good luck,
shadi
